Five Star Seattle Dining – Bitterroot BBQ

a window of a restaurant

During the middle of the summer, we took a family trip up to Seattle to celebrate Josh’s birthday. If you’ve already read the posts, you’ll know that parts of the trip were fabulous and other parts were terrible.

Bitterroot BBQ was fabulous.

It might be my new favorite restaurant.

Bitterroot pairs smoked meats with mouthwatering sides.

Meals arrive on shiny, industrial-size trays.

American craft beer and bourbon round out the experience.

Bitterroot also serves up a delicious Mac N Cheese in case you’ve got kids or vegetarians in your group.

Our meal at Bitterroot was hands-down our favorite meal of the weekend. The ribs were amazing – they literally fell off the bone. The brisket is tender and perfectly sauced. And the sides were good enough that we had to order more.

If you’re a BBQ fan and you’re headed to Seattle, I would say that Bitterroot is a “can’t miss” spot. Personally I would go out of my way for another taste.

Anyone else been to BItterroot?

  1. Sorry to jump topics, but has anyone else had trouble with the 2,000 point bonus that was supposed to come with shopping through the American Airlines portal in September?

I did not get the bonus. Perhaps I did something wrong. Anyone else’s experience?

  2. Anne – I love that you hijacked this thread 🙂 Way to get things done! My bonus posted about a week ago. I am interested to hear others’ experience as well.

    1. I don’t think I used any code or any special link, just went through the regular shopping portal. Was that right? Just got my September points and no bonus.

Come on all you shoppers, I know you’re out there. 😉 How did it work out for you?

      1. Anne – You might try emailing them to check. I’ve had a lot of success with that in the past. In fact, I emailed them to confirm this very deal, and here is the response they emailed back:

Fortunately, we found valid click data for your Macy’s transaction on 09/07/2013, which means that your order was made through the proper AAdvantage eShopping Mall channels. However, shopping miles earned through the AAdvantage eShopping mall do not post instantly to your account. Miles typically post within 30 days, therefore we ask you to allow this time period to elapse.

I will check on this order in 25 days to confirm whether it has posted or not and follow up with you on the outcome. In the mean time, can you please forward the e-receipt from Macy’s for this purchase, we need this information to credit your account or send the order for research, if miles do not post within the alluded time frame.

In regards to the 2000 miles bonus, please allow 8-10 weeks, from the last day of the promotion (09/30/2013), for bonus miles to post to your account. If, after 8-10 weeks, the bonus miles have still not posted to your account, please contact Customer Care with the information for your qualifying purchase.

        1. Hey thanks Pixie for doing that for me. All that makes sense. The funny thing is that I ALSO immediately went to Macy’s to spend my hundred bucks through American.

Great minds shop in the same places. 😉
