Get ANOTHER 100,000 mile sign-up bonus for the Citi Executive AAdvantage card.
A couple of months ago, a fantastic credit card offer burst onto the scene: the Citi American Airlines World Elite Mastercard. The sign-up bonus on this card is a very generous 100,000 American Airlines miles, plus $200 in statement credits AND Admiral’s Club lounge access.
My friend PointChaser wrote a great post yesterday on how she got another 100,000 sign-up bonus by applying for the card again! Two cards equals 220,000 American Airlines miles, which is a huge haul.
This is very tempting indeed. Anyone thinking of another round?
.
I was just completed my minimum spend on my second card. Unfortunately, many including myself have completed their minimum spend on the first card prior to statement closing and found even though Citi shows 110k+ miles earned, they reported 0 to AA.
Miles are slow to be reported to AA by Citi for some reason.
I’m glad you posted this. Same thing happened to me! Good thing I haven’t needed them yet!
Wife’s posted yesterday and mine posted today
Paul
I did 2 for myself and 2 for my wife for 440k miles
Nate – That’s annoying, especially if you want to use the miles right away.
Paul – Niiice!
sruly – That’s the play I’m planning on making 🙂
How are you getting 2x per individual in such a short period of time? I’ve got my one, finished my spend… I’m all ears!!
Mike – Check out PointChaser’s post. She goes into detail!

After 8 days you can get a 2nd citicard (but not more than 2 in 65 days)
HUH? WHAT? I must have been in a cave somewhere as I seem to have missed even the first go round. I’m assuming the offer is still on for the 100,00 miles? What is the spend?
Thanks,
Sleepyhead
@Anne, the boat is still there. You need to spend $10,000 in 3 months
Thanks for the info. Just trying to figure out how many trips to Macy’s and Stein Mart I’ll “have” to make to reach that spend. 🙂
Anne – Do you do manufactured spend?
I don’t know much about manufactured spend other than gift cards. I have heard of “vanilla reloads” and “bluebird” something, but my eyes glaze over when I get part way through the explanation.
How about a short course in MS FOR DUMMIES?
Anne – My friend PointChaser has a fantastic guide to MS on her blog:

It’s really comprehensive and easy-to-follow!
Hi
When you apply for a second card do you give them the same AA number or you just select none and they create a new account for you,
Thanks.
