New Orleans Clouds with Silver Linings
I could spend hours on the Saint Charles streetcar. I love everything about it.
I got to ride the streetcar this weekend. We just got on and rode to the end of the line. Then we turned around and rode back. Normally that would be a big slice of heaven for me, but it just wasn’t the same this time. It was raining. And it was actually kind of cold. I tried to make the best of it, but it was such a disappointment.
We did the best we could. We were the only hardy souls that showed up for the culinary bike tour in the downpour. We crisscrossed the town on foot in the rain. We sat under awnings and tried to appreciate the atmosphere. We did everything on our agenda…everything that didn’t get canceled due to weather.
So it got me to thinking: when is it time to throw in the towel (no pun intended)? When do you just call it a day and go to the movies? I’m not sure what the answer is, but I know that on my next adventure, I will have a Plan B.
