Summer Goodie Giveaway!
Time for another giveaway! This time the lucky winner will get a mix of fun summery products from the past three PopSugar Must Have boxes. To enter the contest, leave a comment below and tell me about your favorite summer trip of all time. Entries must be received by Saturday, August 3 at 10 pm EST. One entry per person, please.
UPDATE: Congrats to our winner, Denise!
Here’s what’s in the box full of goodies:
1) A Rose Gold Double Curb Chain from Baublebar. Paired with a tank top, jeans and flip-flops, this is always a good summer look.
2) A cute bottle of NCLA “As IF” Polish. Perfect for summer pedis, this color will add a little pop of color to your summer.
3) A lip tint from Pacifica. This is a great item to toss into your beach bag or tote – it just gives you a hint of sheer color.
4) Summer wouldn’t be complete without a few gallons of iced tea. This refreshing treat from Mighty Leaf is naturally sweet – although of course you could add a little something to make it even more delicious.
5) Of course it also wouldn’t be summer without a great beach read. This is the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, which was required reading for all Fashionistas.
6) Umbrella’ed drink, anyone? Just add tequila to this mixer set from The Modern Cocktail, and you’re good to go. With flavors like watermelon and blood orange, you might need two.
7) This deck of question cards is a fun item to bring along to your next girls’ night out. It’s especially fun after you’ve had a couple of margaritas!
*News Flash!*
As I was writing this post, I got an email from PopSugar letting me know that the latest Special Edition Box is available.
These boxes are pricier than the monthly boxes, but totally worth it. They are chock-full of premium goodies, and they really do make a great gift – either for yourself or for a friend. This box won’t ship until September, but you can plan ahead for a fall style infusion. It’s kind of like booking your travel plans way in advance: you’ll have something to look forward to in a few months. Or you will completely forget about it and it will be a fabulous surprise. Either way, if you are a fan of the PopSugar box, word on the street is that this one will be golden.
Note that all the PopSugar links above are mine. As always, I appreciate your support! Note also that I am not affiliated with PopSugar in any way – I am sponsoring the contest myself 🙂
Good luck with the contest! Happy summer!
Hard to say what my favorite summer trip of all time is as I’m hoping each summer will be better than the one before, BUT, certainly in the top one or two is taking our (then) ten year old grandson to Waikiki. He’s well mannered and appreciative and loved every activity we came up with, especially if they involved water. We splurged and stayed at the Outrigger since it was right on the beach and Duke’s was the lunch spot of choice most days. We ate and stared at the swimmers and sailors as if we had not just come in from the same activity. I still love Duke’s for the people watching. Grandson loved the beach so much he even wanted to walk there at night. Of course the “walk” always turned into him somehow getting completely wet all over again as he dodged the waves.
It’s one of my best memories and I even incorporated a t-shirt from Hawaii into his t-shirt memory quilt so he would never forget our great times.
My favorite late summer vacation was to London and Paris. Of course, it rained in London but the temperature was comfortable. My highlight of London was touring Buckingham Palace (open to tours in August and September). Paris was amazingly beautiful and the temperature was superb! My highlight was the Eiffel Tower and the wonderful meal my companions and I ate in a delightful restaurant on Champs-Elysees. Yum!
Hey gal! Heard the good news for you! Good luck!
My favorite summer vacation had to have been the time we went to Castaway Island Fiji! It was amazing lazy days of scuba diving and hanging out on the beach or the bungalow. Perfection, truly!
My favorite summer trips were the ones I took to Yosemite with family and friends. Wawona is one of my favorite campgrounds on the southern end of the park, with Merced River running through – a great place to cool down and clean off. The air there is so fresh, I’ve always wished I could bottle it and take home. Cannot beat hiking, exploring and swimming with family. Teaching the nieces & nephews how to be “dunk stars”. Sitting around the campfire in the evenings roasting marshmallows and telling stories. Seeing bears up close & personal. I will always treasure those trips!
My favorite summer vacation is usually the one I just came off, which happens to be Italy this year. Great food, beautiful art, architecture, and culture. I am ready to go back.
Hm…favorite trip….would have to be one of my last “free summers” as a kid, where a friend and I went to Northern California to visit her grandparents. The entire summer we were free to explore the woodsy area, swim, jump off tall rocks into the water, walk in the flume, have picnics, and generally have an amazing time! Oh, to be young and carefree! 🙂
Today’s my birthday. Isn’t that enough for a gift? LOL
Our favorite vacation was the family European trip last year. We saw London during the Olympics, Paris, Nice, Monte Carlos (Monaco), Florence, Venice and Zurich. We used points to stay at the best hotels and got the VIP rooms with our status. Each person had their own camera and we accumulated over 3000 pictures to make 3 photobooks from our trip.
The trip I took this summer might be my favorite – went on an art and yoga retreat in Italy. There is just something about Italy that is so addicting, and paired with art and yoga it’s even better.
I think it’s coming up! In a few weeks I head to the Galapagos and Machu Picchu (largely on points of course). Lucky me! Would love to top it off with the pictured goodies – thanks for the opportunity!
My fave summer trip would have to be just one year ago when my husband and I took the kids to a wonderfully cheesy campground in the Smoky Mtns. Jellystone was the name. Complete with Yogi Bear himself roaming around. Our six yr old son was in heaven and even my hugely “mature” 11 and 13 yr olds loved it! We sang songs on a hayride, watched movies after dark in a tin roof outbuilding, sang karoake, played some put-put and when we weren’t at Jellystone we were out hiking the magnificent Smokies, very near to Gatlinburg TN if that “tourist town cheese” is your sort of thing!
My family’s favorite summer trip was the one I was dreading the most. Years before I was collecting points and miles, I booked a trip to Sun Valley, Utah because I’d bought a stay in a condo there from a charity auction. My 3 boys were young and I wasn’t sure there was anything to do in SV in the summertime. The trip started off with a near disaster with our plane flights but every day there was filled with fun family activities and adventures. My boys still talk about it – especially the part where we almost missed our flights home because Mom and Dad got really lost on a mountain hike. The boys ran ahead of us and my husband and I took a serious wrong turn! This trip really hit home for me the fact that you don’t need an exotic location to have a really memorable vacation.
My favorite summer trip was allllllll summer long. After I graduated high school in the Caribbean, I flew to Florida with my boyfriend, we bought a used car we’d saved up for all year, and then drove across the country. Southern route, then up the west coast. We saw friends and family along the way and became pro campers, since we spent most nights in a tent that we lined with tapestries, and filled with burning incense. I felt so grown up and so FREE!
My favorite summer trip of all time was to the Rocky Mountains. My family used to vacation there every summer. The vacations were spent horse back riding with cowboys on a working ranch, herding cattle. The best one was in 2000 when my younger sister was finally old enough to join me on the ranch.
My favorite summer trip is a family trip we took a few years ago late summer to Disney World. We had eight days to tour the parks so we were able to see and do everything. We also had free dining which allowed us to eat in the castle and other fun places. The weather was nice, and the lines were low. There was no work for the parents, and the kids were well behaved. We had a lot of pixie dust that trip!
