Box of Style – who’s in?

a black box with silver text

As you know, I love a good subscription box. I’ve been a Birchbox subscriber practically since day one, and I enjoyed the PopSugar Must Have box for years.

However, with the advent of so many different boxes to choose from, at this point I’m very selective about which ones I receive.

My current picks include these four:

  1. Birchbox. I’ve continued my subscription mostly for sentimental reasons, but also because the sample sizes are perfect for travel, and if you fill out the quick survey each month, the price ends up at a very affordable $5.
  2. Glossybox. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. The pretty pink box itself is premium and re-usable, the samples are full-size (or close to it), and the brands are luxe. Also, deals are frequent. Definitely keep an eye out for a good sale on a subscription. (I’ll post again if I find one). My subscription rings in at $8/month (rack rate is $20/month).
  3. BeautyDNA. This box only contains one product per month, but it is perfectly matched to you. So far I’ve received three boxes, and each one has been amazing. In fact, this is the subscription box I look forward to getting the MOST each month. AT $25, it’s still an affordable luxury, and one that I will gladly continue.
  4. Rachel Zoe Box of Style. This box is seasonal, so only appears on the scene once a quarter. It’s also relatively new (only a year old). I’ve been a subscriber since the first box, and I must say that so far, it’s exceeded my expectations every time. Each box contains a hero item such as this Miansai bracelet or the Shaffer LA bag below. I LOVE THIS BOX.

My favorite subscription box

If you are interested in the Rachel Zoe subscription box for this season, it’s time to sign up! They tend to sell out, so don’t wait if you want it.

Do you get any subscription boxes? Which ones?  I’d love to know!

  1. I’ve been moving around a lot the last 6 mos so canceled all my subscription boxes, but thinking about starting 1 or 2 up again. I too, loved PopSugar for years, but the last several boxes I got I wasn’t digging so canceled that one.

I did BirchBox for years too, but found that I didnt really use much, though my niece was happy to take the samples off my hands!

I think I’d like to try GlossyBox the next time a good deal comes around, so please keep us posted!

I like the Treatsie box too but don’t have a current subscription. Once I get back on track with Ironman training and am burning lots of extra calories, maybe I’ll start back up again ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Rebecca – I also canceled PopSugar. It’s too pricey if you don’t love everything in the box. I’m so impressed that you are an Iron(wo)man!!

  2. I’ve never subscribed to a box. I’m worried I won’t like most of what’s inside and then I’ll have more stuff to deal with. And yet I’ve wasted so much time researching the options. Do you find you have a lot of unwanted items? What do you do with them?

    1. pinkisnice – Usually, you can subscribe to a box on a one-time basis. This is a little more expensive, but it might be worth it to see if you like the experience. Once you find a box that you like, I find that the contents are usually pretty well-matched to my style and/or needs. Every so often I get something that I don’t want/like/need, so in that case I pass it on to a friend or save it for a stocking stuffer ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. I used to keep a stash of PopSugar Must Have box items I didn’t personally like to use as gifts, was great not having to run out to the store, and the items were typically high quality
