American Express is kicking off the holiday season with a great promotion: register your card today and earn a $25 statement credit when you spend at least $25 at a participating small business on November 24.  You can register as many AmEx cards as you have, and co-branded cards are eligible as well (Citi Amex Hilton, or a Macy’s AmEx, for example).

You can maximize this promotion by purchasing gift certificates at a small business and using them throughout the year, or you could get a nice head start on your holiday shopping.
