What the heck is 6pm?

Every so often, I’ll start thinking that I’m all savvy and “in the know” when it comes to all the good online shopping discount sites, but then I’ll find a new one and realize that there are still endless new frontiers to explore.

Do you know about 6pm? It’s really good. It’s a closeout site owned by Amazon and Zappos. The items available  on 6pm were originally featured on Zappos or Amazon, but most are much more deeply discounted than even the Zappos or Amazon sale prices. This is because both of these sites can only discount items so much before the merchandise is removed from those sites…and moved to 6pm.

Shipping is free.

6pm has a fairly impressive assortment of high-end items. In addition, they’ve got a good stock of basics. I usually see amazing luxury bargains as I’m browsing (Chloe sunglasses, Frye boots), but what I usually buy is shoes for my kids.

For example, these Reeboks are priced at $29.99 on 6 pm (regular price is $79).

This Kelsi Dagger Wheeler Tote is $75 (versus $300).

6pm has a free loyalty program called Brandaholics. When you join the program, you earn points towards admission to the 6pm “Limited Access” site, plus you earn Brandaholic Bonus coupon codes good for 10% off future purchases.

6pm regularly runs some very good sales. If you time your purchase right, you can walk away with a steal – especially if you’ve got a 10% off coupon to stack with your purchase.

I was excited to find out about 6pm. It’s my new go-to for shoes, and I’ll definitely be on the lookout for the next big sale.

Do you already know about 6pm? Have you found any deals or steals there?

  1. I use 6pm too~! I find that their filter is a little quirky sometimes (short sleeve shirts will appear with the long sleeve filter on) but the value is great. I didn’t know about the loyalty program, though. Thanks for the hint!

  2. you fail to inform people that they don’t give free return shipping.

  3. 6PM can be a good bargain, but just like any other site they feature items that seem overpriced upon first glance.

  4. Thanks for the tip. I’m always looking for good online retailers since not many where I live.

I love how you can shop by brand also, will come in handy for my sister who is a brand-a-holic.

  5. I’ve shopped at 6pm for years, even back in the day when they charged $7 for shipping (on purchases, not to mention returns) but never paid attention to the loyalty program; thanks for the tip. Sometimes they offer 10% (and occasionally even 15%) coupons publicly. Used one earlier this week to pick up several pairs of Ugg flip-flops for around $18 that I will give as gifts to friends with summer birthdays. Amazon had them in the $50 range. Do Brandaholics coupons stack w/ the public ones?
